That is some awesome satire. Whoa.

The game sounds pretty good too. Did Konami do anything else like that prior to Silent Hill?

True but it is a free bump on the topic.

At first I was slightly turned off by the parody of the AVGN theme, but I kept watching anyway and I must say he's rather good if a bit unpolished. Hell, it was entertaining and made me want to pick up some of these games. This guy did a great job, and I think it would be interesting to see an AVGN/HVGN clash (though it would never happen, just like AVGN and Irate Gamer would never do one together. It's still fun to think about though).

    Very good choice again.
He does mix up the Hard Mode with the Crazy Hard Mode though.

Talk about a blast from the past. I haven't seen an email from this forum in forever.

Wow, I've been wondering what happened to you. Maybe an alien abduction, or you were thrown in prison for stalking Natalie Portman. Welcome back!

I was abducted by Zoda. Fortunately Mike came along and freed me. Oh, and I'm stalking Kate Micucci now.

Really, is that wise? Have you seen Natalie in the trailer for Your Highness? Two words - golden thong. 'nuff said.

Default anyone else watch Happy Video Game Nerd?

I happened to stumble on this series a couple of months ago and its awesome. Derek Alexander is easily my favorite reviewer, precisely because of his gimmick (talking about underrated, little known games). It's so much better to hear about games you might actually want to play, than see some Nintendo fanboy bitch about games he couldn't even bother to play for more than five minutes.

You can find episodes at http://retrowaretv.com/happy-video-game-nerd/

He also does a pair of sub-projects, "Game Quickie" (though I think lately he's been letting other people host this one) and "Gettin' Super Nerdy" where he does in-depth comparisons and stuff. Also sometimes he switches jobs with other reviewers (he did an episode of "The Gaming Historian" about Shenmue for example). All his stuff is good.

Yeah, I discovered him a few months ago as well, and I enjoy his reviews a lot. They're usually of games that I haven't played, which I appreciate.

Game Quickie isn't his show, it's a RetrowareTV show that always has different presenters.

But Happy Video Game Nerd is pretty good, it's unfortunate he hasn't done many episodes lately though.

You might want to check out Game Sack too. They have some great videos.

He has been working on his DVD lately.

I do like his show, but I actually look forward more to his video game music podcast, Retro Beats.

HVGN rocks. He is my favorite video game reviewer easily. I could write on and on about how he gets the video review concept right in so many ways, but, sadly, I must complete some bs busy work assignment for my 6000 Education class.

As it was said above, I wish Derek would make more videos. It is such a damn shame that such an incredible show like his isn't receiving the well deserved attention and thus funding that it deserves. Anyway...

Check out his music, Starship Amazing, too.
