I don't know if this list is only for U.S. titles but the only ds game that I continually come back to since I've owned it is Diagasso Band Brothers...now I just need to get that dang expansion cart so I can get some new songs.

I have to add Professor Layton and the Curious Village and I can't wait for the sequels to come out.
I've really been digging on my DS this past summer and finally have enough titles played under my belt to make a recommend list:
Advance Wars Dual Strike
Trauma Center: Under The Knife
Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass
Geometry Wars Galaxies
Big Brain Academy
Mario Kart DS
Mario vs Sonic Beijing Olympics 2008
Animal Crossing: Wild World
Phoenix Wright (series)

Am I the only red-blooded man boy here that is going to say:
Nintendogs
??
Ok, I guess so. Also:
Pokemon Pearl (I think Palkia looks cooler, even if he IS a pink T-Rex)
Sonic Rush
Sonic Rush Adventure
Tetris DS (hey, this version is exclusive to the system)
Puyo Pop Fever
Lunar Knights
Jump Ultimate Stars(if imports are allowed)
Another vote for Professor Layton. But my absolute favorite game for the DS is Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan. I can't speak a lick of Japanese and I still love it.
My favorites for the system:
Dragon Quest IV
Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime
Etrian Odyssey II (I assume one would be one of my favorites but I have yet to play it)
Final Fantasy III (I really like the FF & DQ 3D conversions)
LEGO Indiana Jones
New Super Mario Bros.
Picross DS(improves on Mario's Picross which, itself, was a damn good game)
Tetris DS
Well let's see, I really, really, really, REALLY love the Ace Attorney series and I've been following it ever since it has been released, so yeah I'm trying not to fanboy out on it, but it's a really great series that you should try out if you never had the chance.
Contra 4 is pretty awesome too, how could it not be awesome? following the Contra series this delivers all the hardcore gamers would need if you have been following Contra since the start. Only one major problem with it, and it's not bad but for someone like me, it's TOO DAMN HARD !
Guitar Hero on Tour is a great game to play when your wanting to listen to something on the road or somewhere where you aren't occupied. Since I'm a big fan of the Guitar Hero series, I bought it first day and my first impression was "Wow! This game is freakin' awesome!" and it still is to this day. The only major flaw for me is they could of made a wayyyyyyyy better soundtrack then the one they have in the game, plus songs that were already included in GH3 are in there as well.
Animal Crossing: Wild World is loads of fun to play too. When I first got it I was bored of it the second day, and when I came back to play it in a week or so everyone in my town hated me and moved away, so it's kind of telling you that you better play this game more often or else bad things will happen!
Overall, I love it. Who doesn't love paying off thier house debt to an animal? I started getting back into it the last month and I play it everyday and I would love to Wi-Fi with anyone that owns the game.
Other good games on DS that you should totally try out are Ware Ware: Touched! Super Mario 64 DS, Mario Kart DS, Mario & Luigi Partners in Time, Diddy Kong Racing DS, Nintendogs, Yoshi's Touch & Go!, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Maio Hoops 3 on 3 (which should of had Wi-Fi !), Star Fox Command, Tramua Center series, and New Super Mario Bros. I'm sure there is a bunch of more games that I haven't listed that are good, but these are the ones I own. Hopefully when Sonic Chronicles releases tomorrow it'll be one of my favorite games on the DS as well, we can only wait and see !
Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja
This game has yet to leave my DS. I have Luminous Arc, Etrian Odyssey I and II, Contact, Hoshigami: RBE Remix and Rune Factory all waiting in line for me to complete this game.
I own Izuna II as well, but I plan to check out the other titles before moving on to another video game crackrock
-Advance Wars Dual Strike
-Advance Wars Days of Ruin
-Dragon Quest Monsters Joker
-Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow
-Feel the Magic XY/XX
-Contra 4
I would add Dragon Quest 4, but I've only played the NES and PSX versions. The DS game is nothing more than a port of the PSX version, yet I don't own it.
I just imported elite beat agents 2
Elite beat Agents , the only game I feel like I need to carry around the most. So addicting for some reason.
U GAIZ JUST DONT LIKE CHANGE , (builds a artificial foundation here)
