Default Need help finding an old PC game...

I know there are a ton of these types of threads, but I've never seen this game past my limited childhood experience of it. I never knew the name of it but it scared the hell out of me when I was a kid and never learned the name of it. It's become somewhat of a curiosity for me as I've gotten older, but I don't know where to start looking for it. I think we're going back from the late 80's to early 90's for this one. Here's when my spotty memory recalls:

    -Playable on a 386
    -You are alone
-You walk around in a red, fiery place (Hell maybe?)
-Scary looking characters whose faces would come up large and in great detail on the screen
-I believe the perspective was third person isometric

I know it's not much, but does anyone have any ideas?

You're right, that isn't very much.

What exactly did you do in the game? Was it an RPG, shooter, or what?

The first game that popped up in my mind from reading your description was Escape from Hell, although it isn't isomorphic, and you can add NPCs to your party (so technically, you aren't alone ).

I think you've got it! Thank you! Like I said, my memory of the game was spotty as it was a LONG time ago and I didn't really play it. Is it good enough to fire up the DOSbox for, or should I just leave it in my memory the way it is?

It's a poor-man's Wasteland - slightly above average for its era (although I give it extra points for the storyline/plot).

I'd say it's worth at least another look - but you probably won't be scared this time around.
