    Default NES Instruction Manuals

I collect for the American NES and I am hoping to purchase instruction manuals for some of my incomplete games. I found an online store called VIDEO GAME CONNECTIONS. Does anyone know if they are reliable and/or trustworthy? Or does anyone know of a really good online store for NES manuals? Any experiences shared will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Trade-N-Games (http://www.tradengames.com) has a bunch. It's run by a member here, although he doesn't post much. I've bought a ton of stuff from him over the years.

Thanks for the information! The site looks good. If you've had a good experience with him I might give it a try!

Obviously, this is to be an advertisement for another forum, but you might try over at NintendoAge... Quite a few decently known NES collectors are there and trading, so you should probably find what you need without problem (unless you're needing something impossibly rare or something like that).

I'll second Trade-N-Games. I was there about a month or so ago. (Store is in St. Louis, I live in Minneapolis) I met the owner and he was outstanding. It was the best video game store I had ever been in.

Not usually, no. He seems to post empty boxes only if he gets a really good, rare one in. At any given time he seems to have a ton of instruction manuals, though.

Well I just placed an order with Trade-N-Games for several NES manuals: Athena, Duck Hunt, Gyromite, Golgo 13, Gradius, Goonies II, Kung Fu, Slalom, and Double Dribble. I still need to find ones for: Legend of Kage, Commando, Castlevania, Rad Racer, Contra, Stinger, Ninja Kid, and Double Dragon. He didn't have those in stock. At one time I had ever single one of these manuals in mint condition with the accompanying posters. But for some reason I made the bonehead decision to store these manuals all together in one spot and not with the games/boxes themselves. Sure enough, my mom found them and thought they were trash! I totally regret that decision but I was just a dumb kid back then. Thank goodness not all of my manuals were lost in that tragic event. I had another pile of different NES manuals that I had stored in my desk. I quickly paired each one up with the corresponding game. Thank goodness today's games come with cases to store everything!

If all goes well with Trade-N-Games, I hope to do more business with them.

Well I got my NES instruction manuals from Trade N Games the other day. And they were in great condition. Some looked even BETTER than had been described on his site! He also had the whole stack of books shrink-wrapped! Very good store! I will continue to shop there!
