help with N64 football controls

I just got NFL quarterbacks club 98 for almost nothing, but I've never played any football games on N64. Can anyone please tell me instructions for this game or how to commonly play N64 football games. THank you.

I checked on GAmefaqs on this particular game, but there werer only cheatcodes. would N64 madden work the same way as this game?
