Default XBOX: Buy 1, Get 1 Free @ Gamestop 5/16-5/22

Just received this. Great deal if you have an XBOX. Too bad I don't.

Looks like the Xbox games didn't sell well in their last sales. Disappointed they haven't done the same for Gamecube and PS2 yet.

Probably because all their used GC games are the expensive Mario and RE games.

Yup, which is why they probably won't do a B1G1 GC coupon. They know everyone is going to be using it to buy these games.

The Gamestops in my area have held the same island of Gamecube games including Billy Hatcher, Metroid Prime, Sonic, Warioworld, Chaos Field, Starfox, and many more. I guess most gamers dropped the Gamecube like a bad habit and don't associate themselves with the 3rd leg (4th for those counting Dreamcast) in the last console wars.

So, what's keeping Gamestop? Everyone has moved on to the new generation and only hurting themselves by holding those games at Ebay prices.

There are no coupons (watch, next week will be one 9_9) for the Game Cube because the Wii is 100% backwards compatible. 360 is more or less done with backwards compatibility, so why not thin the herd of the one system truly left behind then with some sales.

Besides...there's always that Gamers Day Sale, so who knows...

Yeah I was always curious to as to who sets pricing for gamestop because they always seem to have there ear to the street on a title. I was in a gamecrazy yesterday and they had fatal frame ps2 part 1 and 2 for 12.00 each.

I know gamestops would be much higher

Why Can't I have one of those near me?

I have 4 Gamestops and 1 Play and Trade.

I want to see a PS2 coupon like that, but I think it won't be until next year.

Thanks a lot. I have a stupid question as I'm not a regular Gamestop shopper (and have never used a coupon there).

I printed the coupon out and it's rather large on a 8.5x11 piece of paper... is this ok? Is this an email coupon and it's meant to be printed out? Or is in some publication and I have to print it a special way (like on glossy paper or resize it or something).

Basically can I bring the coupon I printed in (as is), and use it no questions asked?

    Domoestic:

Yeah, just bring the print out. The coupon is usually at the tail end of gamestop.com e-mail newsletters. All the store needs is the coupon itself, in any printed form. All they're going to do is take the sheet from you and toss it in a packet of paperwork.

We have one customer who shrank it down in photoshop, made himself a clip sheet and brought one in once a day for a 3 day sale. As long as you don't abuse the coupon, good times are had by all.

The rarer Xbox games I need are never to be found at any of my local Gamestop's. But for a beginner getting into Xbox, this is a really good deal because of all of the great games available for the system.

Thank you so much sir. I'll be using (and not abusing) this coupon tomorrow.

The rare games I'm looking for on Xbox you will never find at my local GameStop, if I remember correctly last time I checked I own every game they have at my local GameStop for Xbox..0_o...yes that's right everyone...as I currently have 346 games in my Xbox collection.

I might have to find something to go along with the new "real world golf" they have marked as used now since $15 was still too high for me to buy it (even though I'm a sucker for games that come with accessories) but $15 for that and another game I want will probably work for me.

Who did you have to blow to get that one?

I'm hoping to come across a GS with 2 copies of this game... and I'll pull the trigger. Or maybe I can find Sniper Elite, and I'd still be a happy little girl.

    Er, umm...
