I have never been able to beat Cadash for the TurboGrafx-16 or the Genesis. I also agree concerning Exile: Wicked Phenomenon. From what I read somewhere Vic got some negative feedback on the first one for it being too easy, so he decided to make the 2nd one a little tougher and made it way too hard. I wound up giving up early in the game due to frustration.

True. I also don't really like the way most of them look.

It's basically a PC Engine version of Wonder Boy in Monster Land, but it takes after the arcade original more so than the other home ports. That game is HARD. Like the original Wonder Boy/Adventure Island, the game slowly drains your life, which totally goes against the fact that this game was designed to be kind of RPG-ish, with a focus on exploring to find money, secrets, etc. And if you don't find all the secrets, you're pretty much screwed. There's no way to return to past levels either, and there are no continues nor any way to save the game. Worst of all, the final stage is this absolutely massive maze that is so tough to get through. I spent forever just trying to figure my way through it while still staying alive. I finally find the final boss, and he completely destroys me. Thank the heavens that there's a continue code which restarts you on the same stage with the same items and gold, but even that couldn't help me on the final stage. I tried again and again, and I finally beat the bastard. My boyfriend and I were both ecstatic, and I took a deep breath of relief....... and then he transformed into a new boss. Of course, I died, and I couldn't believe what happened. I knew I had no hope and I wasn't going to continue this futile attempt, so, without saying a word to each other, my boyfriend and I pretended like I had completed the game and turned it off. "Yeah..... great job beating Wonder Boy."

One of these days I need to give it another go and get all the secret stuff, which supposedly helps with the final boss.
I use to have that game for PC Engine. I think I beat it in a few tries. I Do remember some parts being pretty hard though. I am a pretty big wonderboy fan though. So I probably played it until I beat it. I think I have beat all the wonderboy games. Dragons trap for sms was a tough one. The turbo grafx version seemed alot easier.

I forgot about Bart vs. the space mutants. My roomate and I always made it to the dinosaur, and never figured out how to beat it.

Silver Surfer (NES) - I've tried so many times to beat that goddamn game. I figured I'd prove my gaming manhood by playing it a few times every night until I was able to finish it. I kept up the quest for 2 months playing at least 3 times every night and still didn't beat it. I even tried beating it with save states and it still handed my ass to me, the surfer is just to big and too slow. Never again will I play that game.

Double Dragon I and II are easy enough. But DD3 is just too difficult. I can't get past the 1st stage. Maybe I give up too early? The controls seem sluggish, and the kicks seem awkward. I think I got to stage 2 when I was a kid, but I don't remember much about it. And what happened to at least 3 lives? I hate games with a playing curve this steep very early on.

26, do you not get extra lives by beating the bosses, you get to play as them for one life each

Ninja Gaiden (all of them) come to mind. I can make it to the final boss on 1 and 2, but I've never been able to beat them. Also was never able to finish Metal Gear on the NES.

Did you like the part where you lose and you start all the way back at Jaquio. That was always my favorite part. Cauese then I got to play all those levels again where the birds flew at you on every jump over a pit. And those really cool wraith looking guys would throw the sticks at you if the birds didn't show up.

    Way too many to count.

Pretty much any Platformer that does not let you save.

Sinistar. People always say, "That's the point!" but I'm not really that much of a masochist.

    Ikaruga- That game is INSANE!

Metroid Prime: Corruption is on the list right now.

Need For Speed Underground 2- I don't know if it was more tedious or hard, but I couldn't make it past the first few upgrades.

Zelda 1 - the 2 headed dragon. You need to use bombs, but I am too lazy to go get them.

I used to be a master at Contra and Super C (NES), but Contra Hard Corps (Genesis) pwns me.

    And I love it.

I never managed to do Snake, Rattle n' Roll on the NES when I was younger. I tried the Megadrive version a couple of years ago, and it would appear my coordination had worsened over the space of 16 years. It brought about another session of 'video game tourettes', to say the least.

I'd also like to add that Ikaruga is an evil game, and should be used as an instrument of torture.
