Does anybody do sega genesis mods here..s-video..

I have searched..and searched..i have pm people who say they do it..but i get no response??? I got a genny model 2 and i would love a s-video mod..but..A..i cant find any guides..all i get is guides how to do the model 1 and 3..but no love for model 2??? B..i cant find anybody to this..cause i would send it over to somebody to get this thing modded..oh yeah..would like to deal with somebody in the usa..i have bad experiences with shipping stuff to Canada..thanks for your time guys!!!

THe best bet is to buy a modded one. I won one on ebay today for just 31 US...

This guy mods pretty much any system with AV/S-Video mods, including Genesis 2.

Do you know what video encoder chip is in your model 2? If you have the CXA1645 you can do the model 3 mod. If you have the CXA1145 you can do the model 1 mod.

And if you have any other video encoding chip, you\re screwed and you'll have to get a RGB encoder and extract the signal... not fun at all and cost a lot.

I won one of E-bay a while back. Model 2 mods are hard to find on the net since only about 1 in 5 can be modded.

I will tell you, that all the effort is worth it. The improvement is substantial, especially compared to the improvement of buying the cable for the Saturn or SNES. You'll never realize how blurry a Genesis is in composite until you see it in S-video. The Saturn and SNES didn't look too bad in composite.
