Default TG16 power question, and CD64 power too

Alright, I've been going through unpacking all my old games and systems that have been in boxes for years due to lack of space - I now have a few extra rooms and am setting up my office as my "classic" room of doom.

And I found my old TG16. I'm looking through huge rubbermaid bins for power adapters for all of the systems and bought a few universal ones off ebay recently (those Genesis/NES/SNES ones, specs are DC9V 850mA

Here's my problem. Google finds me this from the AtariAge Forums about someone looking for a TG16 power supply.

For future reference, though, an NES or first model Sega Genesis power supply will also work with a TG16. For a long time I used a single power supply and swapped out those three systems to save space.

The video cables should work similarly.

NES uses an AC/AC power supply, and will damage the TG16. The Genesis 1 power supply (9v, 1.2A), or Jaguar PS are good substitutes for the TG16.

So anyone want to weigh in on this?

Also, will these adapters work on my CD64 plus you think? I'm going to look that one up next but figured someone might have experience

I answered my own question on the CD64:

Downside is it no workie - drive ejects but doesn't spin up sounds like... so I'll have to dig up another IDE drive and try that out.

Never use an NES power supply on a TG-16, a model 1 Genesis/SMS or Jaguar power supply will work fine.

Ok so Genesis 1 and 2 are different... this I've discovered since. So the NES power supply is compatible with the Genesis 2 but not the Genesis 1?

No wait that doesn't make sense. Dammit this is confusing. Maybe I'll go to bed and boot the brain up again in the morning.

The NES is compatible with ONLY the NES (well.. and the Odyssey 2)
