Is Xbconnect a utility to allow you to access a modded Xbox thru a PC?
If it is, the same ability with a GC or a PS2 would be pointless. No HD to access.
What are you trying to be able to do?

He is trying to play online with games that support LAN, Halo supported LAN, and they found a way to get it online using XBconnect.
XBConnect = fooling your XBOX to think that the internet is actually other XBOXes for LAN play, making free net play available for games that don't use Live.
...though with no linux client, I cannot play. Damn.

Holy crap. It's been a while.
Xbconnect is a nice piece of software that creates a tunnel over internet, it makes it possible to fool the xbox so it thinks it is actually hooked up to a lan. Works a bit like xbox live but without having to pay for the fun, you may also play games that never was intended to be played through internet like Halo
Now when there is a broadband adapter for sale to used with the Gamecube, it should not be so hard to perform the same trick using hardware from Nintendo. If you know anything about it please give me a hint!
