I just got my issue #12 yesterday.
    Awesome magazine.

Had a really bad experience with the VGC crew, but the customer service with Video Game Trader is very good.
They are accessible, they respond, and they deliver a great product.

Very please with my first issue!

Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you like it. My goal is to avoid some of the issues past Video Game magazines have had. By your response, it looks like we are doing a good job.

    Thanks again.

So far I have not received the mag, i did exchange a few emails about the issue today and I have to say the communication was quick and I feel a lot better about my order and future orders. With a previous magazine I sent several emails without any responses. I look forward to getting it.

I need to update my address if you are still publishing this mag. I have not seen an issue in about a year, so I am guessing this mag died the same way Video Game Collector did...
very sad, I loved both mags.

Hi, you can send address corrections to vgtradernj@gmail.com. We have been in a reorganizing mode. But the next issue should be out soon.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
Wow, you're not kidding about reorganizing. Haven't visited your site in a while and dang-VGT is not only a magazine but an online game store!

Yes, well the magazine isn't profitable on its own. So I need a way to make money. The store will generate money to pay for the magazine.

A pleasant surprise in my mailbox yesterday, a new issue of VGT. I like to use the price guide when I am searching ebay for good deals. It's a nice tool. Though I think it must be said that a lot of the prices seem a little higher than what stuff actually sells for on ebay. Also I would like a 3DO price guide. Anyway thanks for a cool and affordable magazine Tom, good luck on the mag and store.

Got my issue today. Happy to receive a new volume of VGT, but I have a few problems with it.

First, the cover looks unprofessional. The overall composition is fine as is the use of color, but the tacky photograph with the unofficial looking light cycle that was used in the front center felt really unwelcome as either a deliberate move or accidental inclusion.

Second, the paper of the cover and pages felt like it was using a more inexpensive, thinner stock than previous issues, though I suppose it might have just been the cover.

Third, the volume seemed light on content. Usually VGT has half its content as articles in the front, then the next quarter as the price listings, then finally a few more articles and comics to make up the last quarter. This issue had very few articles and it seemed like the number of pages devoted to the listings was more than that for the articles!

Fourth, the history of TRON games article read like the author had just done some rudimentary research on a few of them as it didn't really mention much about how the games played, which game mechanics were used, or their quality. In particular I'm thinking of the section on TRON 2.0.

Overall though I enjoyed the issue. I'm happy to see that the retail games market has been kind to you and that you and your publication are still lively and publishing.

Doesn't look like it. The store itself is still up and going but no info on anything past issue 35, which was winter of 2015. Looks like they went quarterly towards the end (basically seasonal). I dropped away from writing and editing for them a few years before the end and completely lost touch.
