Default GCN Game Boy Players are now $9.99 at GameStop

I was looking over the price drops on GameStop's site and noticed that Game Boy Players have dropped to $9.99 used.

If you've been looking to get one, this is a pretty sweet deal.

Yeah, used GameCube systems are down to $29.99 at this point, so it wouldn't be right for them to charge more than $10 for an accessory.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

Hmmm. I've been wanting another GCN controler, but can't really justify $15 or so for one. $40 for a spare GCN set and a GB Player sounds like a darn good deal though, considering I basically gave my GCN and GB Player to my sister when I got my Wii. She's since taken my GBAs, so I have nothing to play GBC games on.

Yeah, it's the best thing about owning a Gamecube for me, too. I've used it a lot more than I've played Gamecube games. At that price it would be a shame to pass it up.

I feel a bit stupid now as I purchased it when it was $15. True $5 isn't a whole lot, but it is $5 more I could have spent for something else. At least I didn't pay $30 for one.

I pretty much only bought it for Pac-Man Vs. Sure it is probably easier to connect a Game Boy to my Wii, but it is just not as cool.
    I have a sig?

I bought the GB Player once it came out. I own less GC games than any other system. It's got some fairly good exclusive titles that I've been meaning to track down(not many, but some.)
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

    No.

The disc is the software that accesses the GB Player peripheral. Think of it as a driver. The GCN can't boot any code from an expansion port, only the disc drive.

Well, I've taken advantage of this offer. I've been neglecting my GameBoy library forever, now I can enjoy it all properly. I just need to track down a Hori pad...
