Default Problem with 32x and Genesis games

Whenever I try to play a Genesis game on my 32x, the game will freeze at bootup or a few minutes into it. I've cleaned the carts with a cotton swab and swiped the cart slots with a credit card.

The 32x plays 32x games fine, and the Genesis games work fine on the Genesis.

They say that you can play Genesis carts on your 32X, but I find that it is best not to. There are quite a few Genesis carts that have incompatiblilities with the 32X. Virtua Racing is a good example of this.

Plus, I've heard that using Genesis games on your 32X can cause damage to the unit, but I haven't seen that. I'm going on what I know.

Just got another 32x and Genesis 1. Turns out the problem was with my existing Genesis 2+32x. I tried both 32x's on the Genesis 2, and the Street Fighter 2 games still wouldn't work (but all the Mortal Kombat games work). Then I tried Genesis 1+32x and all games work perfectly.

Weird because all games work on the Genesis 2 without a 32x, but with one, the SF2 games don't work.

Street Fighter 2 was probably one of the incompatible ones. Did you try any other carts with the Genesis 2 and 32X?

The other carts I tried on the Genesis 2+32x+CD2 were:
    Mortal Kombat
    Mortal Kombat II
    Mortal Kombat III
    Ultimate Mortal Kombat III
    a Waldo game
a basketball game, Pat Riley I think

Those all work on any combination. I don't currently have any other Genesis games.

On Genesis 2+32x+CD2, Street Fighter II Special Champion Edition mostly refuses to start (red screen of death). When it would work, at the win-quote screen it would freeze and a screen full of numbers/digits appear with the words "ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION" or "EMULATOR" at the top.

Super Street Fighter II on Genesis 2+32x+CD2 boots up more frequently than SFII:SCE, but it would still freeze either at the SEGA logo, Ryu intro animation, or a few minutes into a match.

The SFII games work fine on Genesis 1+32x+CD1, or Genesis 2 without a 32x.

Is there a list of incompatible Genesis games for the 32x?
