More like who WAS Sonic.
Happy Birthday again Sonic, here's to hoping you'll release a 2D Sonic game that will be on a regular console and as good as the ones you started with back in 1991.
yeah was is probably more appropriate at this point. Fired up some sonic chaos on my power base converter that arrived yesterday. Need to get ahold of some others. Sega europe was giving away goodies on facebook but I missed out
Yeah. To one of my favorite game characters of all time. No matter how much they butcher the newer series the classics will always be some of the best games.
Here's looking forward to the hack Sonic 1 Megamix's true final release as well as the fangame Retro Sonic XG.
Is it just me or do these birthdays get more depressing with each passing year?

Thank you SONIC for so much fun in my early years. May you one day be restored to your former glory!

WHERE DID THEIR HAIR GO?
Sonic was the reason I upgraded from an Nes to a Genesis instead of a Snes.

Ah, I still remember when the first Sonic came out. A few weeks after the game's release, my mom rented me a Genesis from the store along with Sonic, and had it waiting for me when I got home from school. I became addicted to that game like crack.
I hope Sega can start making good Sonic games again...but that would probably be asking them too much.
With all the negativity in this topic, hey.
We all know we're getting too old for this.

I didn't really want a Genesis until the first NHL game came out. That got me interested in the system. Sonic was too fast and headache inducing for my tastes. I prefer slower moving platformers like Bonks Adventure or JJ & Jeff.
