Also worth noting that industry insiders have rumored/reported that we may be seeing a hardware redesign for the system before the holidays and that current retailers are moving the last of their current stock out with no re-supply in order to make way for the forthcoming "slim" PS3.

This software bundle certainly can't hurt in "moving current stock", and may be intended to do exactly that!

that is a nice bundle hopefully this means all other models laying around stores will be cheaper and I do hope those new slims hit cause again the other systems will be cheaper. Still not sure I care I had one for six months not really worth it.

Including Killzone 2 makes the fps fan in me interested. But Metal Gear Solid 4? No thanks. However, theres a chance that these bundles may be lower(eventually) than $399. Still, I wish they added a second game I was interested in.

I'm sure you could sell or trade somebody the included MGS4 for something else that suits your fancy.

Good point. Also, why the hell is Killzone 2 included in this bundle? Didn't that just come out a few months ago? MGS4 has been out for a year so that makes sense. But Killzone 2?

It's probably hit the point where it has "plateaued" in terms of sales, and since there is pay DLC out there - the more units they put in the hands of PS3 users the more likely they are to sell DLC.

Not bad i was all most ready to buy a (PS3) this month....Untile a deal i had on ebay went sour.Looks like getting a (PS3) for right now is on hold again.Though i'm not holding out for a price cut by sony any time soon.

That's a nice little deal there and I would have probably picked that up if I didn't have a PS3 already. They're two great exclusives, both with a dedicated online community, it's a smart choice by them to get people on the PSN. I wouldn't be surprised if they released a second bundle with Little Big Plant and Ratchet and Clank to appeal to the younger audience.

A PS3 is such a hard damn sell for me. They havn't done anything to make me bite and It's probably going to take something stellar for me to finally get a PS3.

I need a redesign, Two decent games, at least an 80gb hd, at least PS2 compatability, and it can't cost more than $350. That would sell me on it.
