    Default Powering a NTSC NES

Since I'm European I own a PAL NES. However this means whenever I want to play imported NTSC games, they are slower. So I thought of getting a NTSC console. My question is, if I can use the power adapter from my PAL NES to make it run.

Depends on what country you live in and what specifications the console and power adaptor have for power.

Our current is 230V at 50Hz, lowered via adapter to 9V 50Hz. As far as I know the current from most countries using the NTSC format have 110V at 60Hz.

Probably need to use an NTSC power plug with a stepdown transformer.

If the plug fits, this will work, provided the output current is ~850mA or higher (I think the NES has 850mA as it's requirement, printed on the bottom)

You can use the PAL AC adapter with your NTSC NES. Both have the same output specs.

PAL NES' nominal current is 1300mA, so it should work. However this difference of 450mA is quite big. Can the NTSC NES endure such a current?

Current does not work that way.
