Hong Kong Console Power Supply

I recently won a HK Famicom ( HVC-001HKG ) that was listed as untested and without an AC adapter. I know the specs on the OEM Nintendo Adapter ( HVC-002HKG ) are as follows:

I'm wondering what adapter would I need to be able to power on and test the system (in the US).

I can easily get a cheap AC adapter that outputs DC at 10v with 850mA current and negative polarity, but the difference in input voltage and frequency is making me paranoid. So, until I find a safe solution to test the system without frying it, I'm going to leave it alone.

Suggestions?

i found an old Apple printer power supply that works with mine. i can give you the specs on it when i get home from work

Input is just that - what the power supply expects to be plugged in to. As long as the input on the adapter that you can get is 110v / 60hz (given that your location is in New Jersey), you're good to go.

The only thing really worrying me now is the 50hz on the HK adapter specs. Hong Kong runs off of a PAL signal for their TV's right? If so, that's an entirely new thing to deal with.

The supply is DC output. The console never sees any input A/C frequency. Whether the console itself is PAL is another story, but the supply you have will probably work just fine.

Sounds good. I don't have a PAL TV though, so I'll probably have to break out my old TV Tuner since I can set the region on that.
