Question SNES - dirty pins ?

I just bought a SNES yesterday w Super Mario World and while playing I get popping sounds here and there, as well as a few flashes of white lines with it.

I am assuming its a cleaning issue, but could it also be the pins need to be replaced ?

Or could it be a bad RF box ?

The game in the slot seems to have more front to back play than I remember.

    thanks

Sounds like a pin issue to me.

I just did a basic cleaning of the cart and console and it seemed to eliminate it. Hopefully that's all it was. thanks
