    Default Buy-Rite and KOF 2001

The somewhat infamous Buy-Rite Games is currently running a sale. Most of their prices are only slightly less inflated than usual (Six hundred for a Neo-Geo? Sixty for a GGX2 stick?), but they're also selling the DC version of The Kind of Fighters 2001 for thirty bucks.

I've never ordered from Buy-Rite before, so I hesitate to jump on this deal without asking around. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

I have ordered from Buy rite and I cant recommend them at all. They took a month to ship my game out, 1 game, that is unexcusable, and when I emailed them about it, i NEVER got any replies ( I sent 4 emails, 1 per week). >

I suggest waiting if this is the only place you can get it, I got a copy of KOF2001 at Gamestop for 25 bucks, good game, just dont get it from buyrite.

I've never used them intentionally, but I've seen complaints aplenty. The usual complaints revolve around their listing of games they don't actually have, and the poor customer service that you receive after ordering.

While I'd think it unlikely that they'd have a sale on a title they don't have in stock, there mayl still be the customer service issue.

The "intentionally" part comes from the time that I won an ebay auction from Buy-Rite doing business under a non-Buy-Rite ebay ID. I had no complaints with the transaction, which went smoothly.

Buy Rite is the biggest game website scam out there. Avoid them at ALL costs.

Gamestop? Really? I didn't know that they sold imports. Was this some one-of-a-kind deal?

Yeah... I'm wondering about this finding KoF 2001 at Gamestop. How did *that* happen?

I have ordered from them before. Actually, I ordered Metal Slug X when it was released, and they sent me Shock Troopers 2. I obviously called and complained, and they said if I sent it back they would do the exchange. I just didn't feel right about it, and kept Shock Troopers 2. They will send you something...just better hope it is the game you order! Just listening to the message when you call...that guy's voice...kind of gives you the idea that they are full of it.

Buy Rite seems to be public enemy #1 here at the DP boards. For everyoen 1 person who has had a good experience with them, 20 seem to have complaints.

From my experience, every game I'ver ever tried to order from them is out of stock. I'm starting to think it's a scam to get credit card numbers or e-mail addresses.

    Default Hrm...

I dunno, I ordered a bunch of Dreamcast imports from Buyrite and had absolutely no problems... although I have heard many many many complaints about them....
