    Question SNES sound files

Does anyone know of a way to access sound files that are being played from specific games in a Super Nintendo and transfer the midi or the sound effects into a usable sound file?

I'm not tech-savvy enough to know how it was done, but I can tell you the work has been done for you:

    http://snesmusic.org/v2/

There you can find all the music files, and a plugin for WinAmp to play them.

Thanks for the link mnemonic, that site had some of the stuff i was looking for. I'm more interested in finding the sound effects though, I was thinking I could rip it from a ROM on ZSNES but I also don't know how.
    suggestions/links?

If you want to rip a sound download a program called sound forge 8 from sony, theres numerous over ones out there but sound forge is the best for me.

if you download a file if the snes zone website posted above, there most proberly goin to be midi files, and if you want to create audio or change the instruments in the song etc, which you can do btw, you'll need cubase or reason, mac were talking logic 8.

these are things you have to pay for,if you want them, just check the usual places for it,hope you know what i mean by that haha
