I think I am in for COD 4 GOTY (20.00) and Assassins Creed II (30.00). I was tempted with Bayonetta, but with how inferior the PS3 version is suppose to be I think I will wait until it hits 30.00.

Over here, where I purchased mine, it's even better!

Since all they have is the Lego Batman/Pure bundle, they are giving this bundle, PLUS a seperate pack of Halo 3 ODST/Forza 3. Also, the $50 Gift Card is actually paid for, but the system reduces to $250, making tax even less!

So I am very happy overall. Plus I got a Jasper unit.

Also important - there's a Very highly YMMV aspect to it.

DM's have the option of adding to the sale (Discontinued Older accessories mostly). Mine stopped by and dumped in a bunch of stuff we'd been sitting on forever. I picked up Sony's official 2 USB Gold plated kit, 2 cleaning cloths, and and old school CD cleaner for like $9.99 total (with no employee discount).

Another area one had those RE5 360 bags (that is essentially a laptop bag) down to $12.

It's completely DM based, so there's a high chance most won't have added in anything, but it's a great option to check in just in case.

The ones I want are still 39.99 ranged, so the prices are good for me. Final Fantasy A2 was 14.99 when I got it a year ago, Metal Slug 7 was 9.99.Phantasy Star Portable was 19.99 at last years sale but then back up to 39.99 as soon as the sale was over and hasn't dropped since, but you can sometimes find a good price on Ebay(rarely.) Back at 19.99 I'll make sure to pick it up this time, as long as it's sealed.

Two years ago FF12 Collector's Edition was 14.99 and it was around six months after the game came out. FF12 has also been the deciding factor on me never buying an FF game again until it hits 19.99.

I think Valkyria Chronicles was 19.99 at the Gameday sale as well(last years.) Either that or 29.99. Should have bought a lot up and sold them because they were going high priced for awhile after that before going back down to 19.99. Might do this option for Phantasy Star Portable but I'll check into Ebay a bit first.

The selection isn't that great compared to years past and the pricing seems a bit higher than it used to be. There's also a small number of titles that were on the Game Days sale last year like Hotel For Dogs, Sonic Unleashed, GH Aerosmith, and Ghost Squad.

It looks like they're working with most of the same publishers for stock on this sale including Sega, Activision, Ubisoft, and THQ. I'm surprised there isn't a whole lot from Bandai-Namco this time around. The selection from Capcom, EA, and Konami is thinner than it has been in years past. I have to wonder if most of these companies don't have as much overstock as they used to or have already liquidated it through other retailers.

I was able to get pretty much everything I wanted this year as opposed to years past.

In most cases, yes.

But depending on the Gamestop, some still have them sealed.

Picked up today Family Feud for Wii today like that.

A lot of stores have more than 1 copy of the game. They might only gut 1-2 copies, but have many more. I bought Afro Samurai and FUEL. FUEL was the gutted copy, but Afro Samurai was a sealed copy they took from behind the counter.

I suppose it depends on the store, like kirby said. But the one I checked had those same copies of COD:MW: GOTY in January and they were all factory sealed in the display case. That was during their big "after xmas" sale. I bought a gutted copy of Tekken 6 because it was only $20 but a week and a half later I went to a different Gamestop that still had sealed copies so I traded the gutted copy for the sealed one. Samething for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Sith Edition. My local Gamestops only had used copies but I went to a GS that was about 30 minutes away and they still had sealed copies and since they were only $20 I had to have one.

This week I'll check out my other local GS. Actually, if they had a flyer for this sale(they might but I didn't see it when I was in the store the other day) I could just go get a price match at Best Buy, Walmart or Target. I hope they take a print out of the online list.
