    Default Original Xbox Ethernet Port

    im pretty sure i fried mine a year or so back


    now i cant ftp anything into the hd and have to use dvdr's, anyway i can replace this or find out definitely if it is burned out?

    You can find out using one of those testers that allows you to determine if it's fried or not...a continuity tester of sorts.

    But really, the router can't find it and give it an IP address, chances are, it's damaged.

    You can also buy one of those cables that converts a controller port to a female USB to connect HD's and flash drives. That should work as well.

    lol jesus, i dont know if im willing to commit 40 dollars only to find out what i already suspected, that the ethernet port is dead, if i could find one for about 5 to 10 dollars i would definitely jump on that train, but thanks tho, i may still consider that route if worst comes to worst


    that 2nd adapter you mentioned sounds interesting tho, i have never heard of one, you got a name or a place where i can find one??? that might prove to be infinetly more viable than just transferring files over using dvdrs

    i just bought 1 of those female usb cables buy cant get it my external hd to even appear under xbmc, is there a script i have to download or missing step i skipped to get my xbox to recognize my hd?


    i also read somewhere that the xbox cant read anything over 4 gigs, is that true? i hope not im using a spare 60 gig i had laying around

    can anyone help?
