    Default Dirty old R.O.B.

I got this dirty old R.O.B. at a flea market ages ago. It's just been sitting around.

The robot itself still powers up; when you put batteries in it and flip the "on" switch he rotates his torso 90 degrees then brings it back to center.

The gyro spinner has awful corrosion and I'd bet money that it doesn't work at all. I'm not about to spend money for a "D" battery to test it; I'm fairly certain it's non-functional.

All other parts are dirty but in good shape (2 gyros, gyro holder, controller holder). No claws included.

Any ideas what I can expect for it?

It'd make a nice collector's item, shame about the corrosion though.

How much would a gyro spinner be worth on it's own? I think I also have a spare one I picked up from somewhere.

You can probably get a couple bucks for the gyros and the other attachments sans the spinner. At that point you're left with a loose R.O.B. which is worth about a buck on the open market, as has been said. There is a little money to be made on the gyros though.

I guess that's good to know, I have a spare gyro along with the spinner. I just have to find it.

a good chunk of the robs out there just plain don't work, so knowing yours works increases the value a bit, the more parts you have the more pricey he gets (espeically if you have the stack up parts, the gyromite hands and the "sun-glasses".
