Default My 3DS slide pad is broken

I've played my 3DS maybe three hours total since launch day and I noticed my moves in SSFIV were not working. After a couple of minutes I finally realized the slide pad was broken (it wasn't obvious at first). It's very difficult to move in some directions, and other times, it's fine, but it goes right back to being frozen.

I guess it's a common issue, since it was one of the choices for the RMA to Nintendo on their site.

Anyone else have any issues with their 3DS?

There are calibration settings in the menu; did you try that? I hope the pad isn't an achilles heel. It is the best part of the machine!

That sucks to hear, but then again problems like this are what one gets for early adoption of any new hardware. It's still new and under warranty, why not send it back to Nintendo for a replacement? That's what I'd do.

Recalibration isn't the prob. It's physically frozen at random times.

As for sending it back, yeah, that's what I did. :-)
