Not quite as bad as some of the items passed up here, but I remember a local used book store here had a boxed Pokemon edition Gameboy Color with the Yellow Pikachu Pokemon game as the pack in for $50.

I like collecting import Saturn games and it seemed like there was always one or two Tec Toy Saturn titles listed...until I went to buy one
Sooner or later!
I didn't pass on some recent Samsung Saturn games though
Diabetes Sucks!
Firefighter F.D.18 - $5 used from a rental store.
Guitaroo Man - $5 they had one copy at my Circuit City during the 5 dollar clearance sale back in the summer of 2004, I didn't know how much it was worth back then and didn't realize that it would have been worth checking out even if it wasen't worth so much.
Mega Man X - Saw this at Walmart on clearance for $5, I would have grabbed this for sure if I didn't still own my copy I bought from when it came out.
About a year or so back, a found a Craigslist ad with a bunch of Sega systems and games for sale. I skimmed through the ad, and noticed there were quite a few rare games listed. So I sent the seller an email asking how much he wanted for the following items:
Sega Saturn System
Saturn Memory Card
Magic Knight Rayearth
Albert Oddysey
Nights into Dreams
Popful Mail
He sent back an email saying he would take $80.00 for them! Now, I knew that this was an excellent deal. However, since I was on a tight budget, there was no way I could scrape up cash for it all.
In the end, the only game I bought from him was Popful Mail for $15.00. The seller didn't seem have any idea what his stuff was worth. He apparently inherited it all from his uncle. But since he didn't play games, and his kids weren't interested in "old games" he sold it all off.
Plumbers Don't Wear Ties... in 2006 I saw a copy for probably <$15 at Video Games Etc. (closed in July 2009) and didn't buy it because I was 13 years old... I was being a pu**y...
Real collectors drive Hondas, Toyotas, Chevys, Fords, etc... not Rolls Royces.
Radiant Silvergun Sealed for $60
Top Loader NES for $30
Vectrex store display for $75
Ms. Pac-Man cocktail table machine for $100
Countless games I never grabbed at store closeouts.
"Oh my lord it's nutty, yup!"
One extreme example comes to mind:
When the FuncoLand by my house was closing it's doors in 2003, they were selling a large amount of sealed Saturn/PS1/N64 games for real cheap. Turns out there was a lone copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga, new and still in shrink-wrap, for $24.99, and i didn't buy it..... I cried a few years later when I saw people on ebay selling it in that condition for $500-$600....
==SuperFamicast64's Console Collection==
Dreamcast, PS2, Super Famicom, N64, Saturn, PS1, PSP, GBA, Genesis (w/Model 2 Sega CD), WonderSwan, SwanCrystal
Probably the Suikoden IIs I saw a few years ago for $30 or the Dragon Ball GT Final Bout for $80 back before the reprint. More recently I passed up a CDI zelda game (forgot which one) for $2
