All I can say is thank god I'm not the only one kicking themselves over passing up good deals. So far I have a....few....good deals I have passed on due to lack of funding or not realizing how good they would be later on.

finding 12 copies of Lufia 2 for 10$ a peice brand new at target.
passing on most of the TG-16 games when toys-r-us had them on sale for 5$ a peice.
passing up 20 copies of kings field 1 & 2 when they were 6$ each at k-mart.
passing up on a top loader NES and 12 games for 50$ at a pawn shop.
passing up a GEN3 at same pawn shop for same price and same game count.
not buying up every single copy of thousand arms when it came out and a local wal-mart priced them wrong at 15$.

Am I kicking myself? I most certainly am.

On another forum 6 - 9 months ago there was a guy who had several copies of the pre-production sample version of the unreleased dreamcast game 'Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas' for sale. back then i didn't care too much for flintstones nor pre-production games so I guess I missed out

I don't know how much N64 converters go for these days (I just melted the tabs out of my system), but I wouldn't feel too bad about Wonder Project J2. It's gotten dirt cheap. I bought a used complete copy for $14 a couple years ago, and then shortly later I bought 10 brand new copies in the manufacturer's box for $9.99. o_O I don't know the story behind it, but for some reason there were a ton of copies in manufacturer's boxes that never even got put out for sale. I guess they produced far more than they sold. When I sold my used copy I only got 5 bucks for it.

Back when I first started collecting and had no idea how rare thing were or how much they were worth. I passed on a Turbografx CD unit for $15.00.
Another time I passed on an INTV III for $25.00.

I have never seen either one of those in the wild again and still don't own them.

In late 2001 I was wandering around in Seiden (an electronics chain) in Kobe, Japan. I came across a display of this new game "Rez" for the PS2. Put on the special-edition force-feedback headphones, pressed start, and woke up from my LSD-like daze only when a buddy of mine forcibly took the headphones off my head to let me know that he was going. They had several of these special edition packages available, and I can't recall the exact price, but it was around 10,000 yen or so (roughly $100). I considered picking it up, but thought I might as well just wait for the U.S. release (as I didn't have a Region 2 PS2 at the time). Come to find out they only made several hundred of those special edition packages with the headphones. Doh!

About 5 years ago a local game store was selling brand new Jaguars and brand new 32x's for 25 bucks each. I bought a jaguar but didnt buy a 32x. I would defintely say I regret not picking myself up a 32X, but i recently trade the Jag to someone on here for a complete TG16.

One of the vendors at the Grafton Flea Market a few weeks ago offered me his Sega Master System collection. He didn't have it out on his table though and I didn't believe him. That night I wondered what games he had in his collection. He may have had some nice European/Brazillian games!

I was buying a mint boxed SMK for a pound, but there was no cart in the box. (I got the box for free, after persuading the guy I was a collector), but in my shock, I missed Donkey Kong Country, boxed and mint for £1 also.

There was a Sonic 2 for the GG in Gamestation, boxed for a fiver. I didn't have any money but I decided it wouldn't sell.... it did : <

    I guess I should learn from these mistakes, but I don't :P

I've done some idiotic things in the past, and passed up some excellent deals: (note: all prices in canadian dollars...)

    1. About 20 new-in-box top loader NES systems at K-Mart, for $20. I wanted to buy four or five, but my parents told me I all ready had a regular NES so didn't need these. Arrgh!

    2. Roughly 50 unopened Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for SNES, at $5 each in Toys 'R Us. I bought none, as I was broke.

    3. New-in-box Virtual Boy for $10 from Microplay.

And now for the crown-jewel, the epitome of idiocy:

    4. Around 100 sealed-in-box Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy IIIs, at a Canadian Tire, for $1.99 each. I all ready owned them, so my friends said "what's the point". Me, being a moron, listened to them. That's painful.

On the other hand, to make up for it, I...yeah, to hell with that - I never made up for that one!!

Passed up a loose Arrow Flash (Genesis) at a GameCrazy for 99 cents. At least I snagged the loose Extreme-G 2 (N64) that was mispriced at 99 cents ($4.99 was the correct price).

Well, it's not that bad but I still regret it...

Back when I was younger and videogame systems were things you had to save up for a long time for.. I was walking around TRU and saw a row of SNES model 2 + Yoshi Island bundles for $40 a piece.

Not a huge deal but I still don't have my minty boxed snes :/
I make sure to buy any system that hits $50 brand new now (ala dreamcast)

My biggest regret is not strangling the Gamestop employee that didn't give me a box for my Survival Kids gameboy game... that I bought BRAND NEW I have never seen the box for it....ever.

I didn't really regret this that much...but it is the only thing I can think of.

I went to the local pawn shop once and they had a bunch of PSX longbox games complete and in very good condition for 4.99 each. The games included: Gex, Twisted Metal, Road Rash 3D, Darkstalkers, Mortal Kombat 3, and a couple of others...but I forget what they were. Anyway, I thought about buying them...but I'm not into collecting longbox games so I passed.
