PS3 Ni No Kuni (studio ghibli rpg) confirmed for US!

its been confirmed that this awesome charming rpg is headed for the US in the first half of 2012! Now if they would only localize the ds version, but with its large book that comes with it i seriously doubt it. Ive been waiting for a rpg like this to appear on the home consoles for awhile now. its damn gorgeous!

The game stars Oliver, a young boy who loses his mother to a mysterious illness and has to venture into an alternate world in the hope of saving her.

Fights look like they suck but that hasn't ruined a game for me yet. The story, music, atmosphere, etc, should make up for it.

Guess Level 5 decided to localize this as well as Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright. They did a poll and said whoever won would definitely be localized, and that they were testing interest in a bunch of other titles, this one got the second-most votes, so I guess they figured it be worth it to see it come here to the States.

I'm disappointed that they didn't bring over the DS version, I have that system but not a PS3.

So much negativity in this thread, and over nothing but unsubstantiated speculation.

Anyway, looking forward to the game. Thought the trailer looked awesome. I've been following this title since it was announced for DS, so I can wait until next year to finally play it.
