got my room today, getting excited. 2 weeks from Friday, yeah!
Bringing three friends to the show. This is going to be awesome.

I realize most of you aren't following @MGCInDepth on Twitter yet, but we reported tonight that Sheraton hotel rooms are nearly sold out. Our block of king beds are entirely sold out, double beds are nearly sold out, and a selection of suites have been added to our "extended block" but those are now selling out too. Once this block is sold out, the Sheraton will be all but entirely sold out of rooms during the event.
If you haven't booked your room yet, please do so soon:

Later.
Dan, we are discussing on the benheck forums/facebook group about what we need and will send you an "official" email tomorrow. Hopefully this is not too late of a notice; we did not realize Ben himself would be elsewhere, seperately, at the event. There was ample room where we were located downstairs last year, even with 3 other setups of different groups, we just needed an additional table or two. Anywhere you can fit us housing 4-5 tables with power outlet access, for live demos and "while you wait" mods we will gladly take and appreciate.
Anyone else, if you have something that you want us to take a look at, plesae post here what it is, what is wrong, and what the problem might be. I will post it on our forums/facebook group so we can look at some information about fixing it and what tools to bring.
i have a channel f that wont boot. im thinking the power supply is dead (its attached)
I just wanted to drop everyone a quick note -- today is the FINAL day to pre-order your 2012 Midwest Gaming Classic two-day tickets! Tickets will still be available at the door, but if you know you're planning on coming, you'll save some money and help us make the show even better this year by ordering now.
Also, if you haven't already reserved your hotel room, we are sold out of certain room types, and have very limited numbers left. Please make sure that if you want to stay on site, reserve your hotel room today!
Finally, as of last night, we are now confirmed to have more than 200+ arcade video and pinball machines at the show. When you combine that with Tom Taylor's Tour, which you can go on Friday afternoon and evening for a small donation when you purchase your tickets (very few spots left here too!), it means that the Midwest Gaming Classic will have more than 500 playable machines this year! That's incredible!
Hope to see you at the show!!

Got my tickets in the mail today, only two weeks left!
Will there be a NAVA meeting this March, or will it not happen because of the MGC? I've never been to a NAVA meeting, and I'm ready to take the plunge.
Update everyone -- we have assessed and put back on sale an extremely limited number of special event tickets. These tickets are for things like Up To Par, Clock Chaos, Tom's Tour and Dine With Scott Adams. Between all four events, less than 50 tickets remain.
For instance, if you want in on that dinner with Scott Adams, this is basically the last chance -- we thought we sold out, and we just found out that we miscounted and we have TWO tickets left. You get to have a really unique experience dining with a true gaming pioneer, and the price includes dinner after the show closes Saturday night.
Want to try out the new MGC Up To Par tournament? Just a few slots remain in this unique video game challenge. Same with our extremely popular Friday night Clock Chaos tournament, which already has the most players it has ever hosted!
Finally, if you have ANY interest in pinball or old arcade games, you must head to Tom's Tour on Friday between 3pm and 8pm. He has over 300 machines set up for you to play, and there are just a few handful of these tickets remaining! A donation to charity and purchase of a two day ticket is required.
Hope to see you at the show!!

I'm already going to the show and have my hotel room , etc, but I just got my flyer in the mail yesterday (12th), and it made me think.
Don't know who these flyers are aimed at, but with pre-sale tickets pretty much done and hotel rooms filled up, maybe these flyers should be mailed earlier.
Maybe these flyers are aimed at the more casual, might show up, local people, but at this point if I had just received this flyer and decided to go, I might not be able to plan time off for the show, or get a hotel room, or pre-sale tickets.
Just an observation, these may be aimed more at locals and such for which 10 days is probably plenty of time to decide if you can make a show 2 weeks down the line, but for people traveling to the show, I would think sending out the flyers earlier would be better.
We used a different supplier for those this year. On one hand, they sent them out much earlier than our place did last year, which had a long turn around. I think I got my first report of people receiving them about three weeks ago. On the other hand, I have heard from a few people that they are sort of trickling in here and there.
It's always a fight -- send too soon, and we don't have a bunch of stuff to write on them yet confirmed. Send to late, and people get them after the pre-order period closes, like it looks like you did.
Thus is the problem of being a little show with no staff really -- it's hard to time all this stuff! Hope you understand

I'm on top of it as I said, so it doesn't effect me
I was just trying to be helpful. By the sound of it, some people got them sooner anyway.
Yeah, too soon, you have nothing to write on them, and people forget about the flyer(because the show is so far off)
Also for local people 2 weeks is probably perfect. Just a reminder that this shindig is coming up in 2 weekends.
They are nice flyers, I was just hoping the paid advertising doesn't go to waste
No problem! We always like insights from people, so please don't take that as me squashing your input. Those flyers are more of a "they are what they are" sort of thing every year. Luckily, probably 95% of them do go local, but we wanted to have them out to sell more pre-order tickets -- they mention that on the flyer -- as that *greatly* helps us improve the show year to year So, sadly, they were late.
Not as bad as last year when we had Kinkos do them. We gave them all of the flyers on the 14th of February, and they screwed up and contacted me about a week before the show that they wanted my confirmation on sending them out. Needless to say, we ain't usin' Kinkos any more. And heck, the quality was a lot better this year, if I do say so myself

If any sellers are following this thread, bring your gameboy original games if you have any. I'm working on completing a north american catalog and plan on hunting for more additions this year. Also orphaned boxes/manuals.
~Ryan~
I still have some complete Game Boy and Game Boy Color games left from my collection that I will have for sale this year, plus I will have quite a few extra books and boxes you can look through.
The MGC is looking for a few good men! (Or women!) We are looking to solidify help in two major areas at the show this year. If you love the show and have the time, we'd love to have you help with the show! And, you wouldn't miss a minute of the show itself! Here's what we need help with:
Wednesday Night @ 6:30pm - We need to pack up our truck full of show stuff! We could use the hand of two or three additional people this night to help us load the truck at two locations, travel to the hotel and unload the truck there. Generally, this takes about three hours.
Sunday Night @ 5pm - Guess what? We load the truck up of everything from the show, take it back to our two locations where we store stuff, and put it all away (or at least sort of away). The last few years, we have had a skeleton crew for this and it has taken far longer than it should. We'd like to get an additional 6-8 people for this.
If you can help with either of these things, please contact me ASAP through here via PM or email. I appreciate you considering it!

Great show as usual! I was psyched to finally play Outfoxies (thanks, Galloping Ghost!) in a real cabinet.
