Default What are YOU bringing to auction?

Don't reply if you wanna keep it a secret.

I'm bringing an awesome SEGA MASTER SYSTEM lot, System, hookups, gun, and about 30 games. and to make it interesting, I'm throwing in a couple rares: a loose Astro Warrior/Pit Pot cart, and a loose Fire & Ice cart.

    Pretty sweet, eh?

Money and a pretty big commodore 64 lot. Takes up to much room.
Somebody make me a "CGE 2k7 Attendee banner" so I don't have to use this lame text

I've got a pocket full of quarters, but it should be pointed out at this time that I'm headed for the arcade, not the auction.

Seriously, I'm going to bring my camera and a nice clean hanky to wipe my jaw off, I imagine it'll be hitting the floor. A lot. I doubt I've have quite enough spending dough on me to partake.

    Um, Earl? The arcade's free.

The only thing valuable that I own is my mint boxed Glib, and I'm not getting rid of that come hell or high water. :P

Of course, I could auction off a chance to touch my boobies, but I don't think that'll fly. :P

Eh, I'll spill. How's about a Vectrex? How's about a Vectrex with a John Dondzilla custom-made Vectrex joypad? (Yes, the original Vectrex stick works and is included.) Oh, and how's about a Sean Kelly Vectrex multicart too, so you have the *entire* Vectrex library as well, including homebrews? Yup, if you ain't got a Veccy, this'll be the package to be watching for.

Before you lug anything BIG to CGE for the auction, run it by me first! The auction is only 2 hours and we really want the best/most requested stuff on the block in that amount of time (this is approximately 30 auctions).

I'd hate to have something "rejected" because it didn't make that cut, though there IS the CGE Swap Meet right before the auction where you could work out a deal or sale.

That's a good point. It keeps folks from tossing their 7 Combat dupes into the auction. I forgot that only big, unusual items really get the nod.

Well your Vectrex set-up is definitely good to go. I have yet to attend a show where there weren't a dozen people looking for a Vectrex. Hopefully there will be a few on the floor for sale but if not, good for your auction!

You have to have your crap approved? Geez, last year you guys sold a boxed SMS battle outrun in the auction, sure it's an import, but it sure ain't rare or sought after.

This year you do have to get your crap approved.

It's simple really. I call it "progress".

    Any questions?

I'll respond as Sniderman did with Tempest: I gotta SEE the goods first. But I'd say from here you've got a bidder

It might be a bit late, but perhaps we can have a pre-auction registration where people can bring their items in for approval, and a list can be generated for people to look at before the auction.

Yes, I do have some questions.

What do those of us to do who don't have "Airworld" prototypes or the disembodied brain of Ken Uston alive in a jar have to do to get in the auction?

And what about those poor kids who wanna auction off their semi-rares, huh? What will you say when they walk away crying?

Sorry if I'm being melodramatic, just seems a bit "elitist" to me.
