A while back I bought a boxed Nintendo Advantage controller. It has apparently been in the box for so long that there are pieces of the foam packing stuck to the cable. Is there any safe, easy way to remove this stuff from the cable? Thanks.

I always use rubbing alcohol and a towel. And time
I'll give it a try. I know that it isn't worth much, but I wanted to find something safe instead of experimenting on it. Thanks.
You can also pick it off with your finger nail. Happened to my Turbografx 16 controller.
I second the rubbing alcohol and time. That's what I did with some SMS controllers that had the same issue and they came out fine.
