Default Is Vid Grid for Jaguar CD a buggy game?

I reached Level 2 on Vid Grid, but whenever a choose a puzzle, half the time the puzzle doesn't load. The loading screen comes on, but it eventually goes black. Other times I get a screen that says, "The program encountered a disk error. Press B to try again." If I hit B, the screen comes back after a few seconds.

I know about the Jaguar CD's reliability problems. However, I was watching someone on YouTube play Vid Grid, and they eventually got the same error, so I was thinking the game might have a bug in it. Do any of you encounter this problem while playing the game? In my case, it didn't start happening until I reached Level 2.

By the way, I am using an authentic game on an actual Jaguar CD.

    Here's a screen shot:

Funny, I reached Level 3 today and the disc is functioning fine now. This seems to further the argument that the game has some bugs.
