playing Atari, Nintendo and all kinds of games on your computer? Well,
you will have the rare opportunity to play these great games again at
the Video Game Summit, Chicago 's premier video game trade show. In

New Video Game Summit Events announced for 2013

Chicago, Illinois 8:56 AM 11/22/2012–Have you wished that the fun of VGS would
have kept going after the show ended? Now it can as we bring the two
popular sections of the show Turbofest and Jagfest to a local arcade.
Octurbofest was the first VGS Event held at Galloping Ghost Arcade in
Brookfeild,IL ran by Armando Rodriguez on October 20th,2012 this event
was based on the TurboFest Section at VGS.
And it had a good turn out of 40+ people, at the time though
it wasn't an officially a VGS Event. Starting in 2013 Octurbofest
will be an offical VGS Event and we will have news on it when it's set.

On the heals of the success of the Octurbofest, the VGS staff has
announced our second event AtariMania:April Showers bring Atari
Followers for April 13th,2013 at Galloping Ghost Arcade
in Brookfeild,IL from 1 pm to 9 pm.

AtariMania is said to be the next evolution of the Atari Jaguar Festival
(Jagfest)section at VGS, as not only will it have the Jaguar but it will
have the classics(2600 to 7800 and Lynx) plus two Atari aracdes.
Like Octurbofest, AtariMania will be in the Game Rooms at the arcade,

Admission to AtariMania is 5.00 person(this only give you access to the event only,
if you want admission to both Arcade floor and AtariMania it it will be 20.00)
you pay at the door only and make sure you mention AtariMania.
We will be using the big screen tvs provide by the arcade, or you can bring in
your own tv and systems and games if you do plan on bring tvs or systems and games
to the event please e-mail me at VideoGameSummit@yahoo.com subject:AtariMania help and
list what you bring and we will work out a spot for you.

As for what you expect at the event,We will be showing classic systems and games
as well some homebrew games on the 2600, some rare games for the other atari systems
and we will also have the Harmony Games High Score contest, which will be using the
2600 and a selected homebrew game, winner of the HSC will receive one free
admission ticket to the 2013 Video Game Summit in July(the winner will be announced
online at the VGS website and contacted via e-mail as this will be also online as
part of the normal Harmony Games HSC).
We will also be accepting donations at the event to help defer any extra expense at
VGS as the show celebrates its tenth year.
Be sure to check out the VGS Events pages
(links to both Octurbofest and AtariMania are on the VGS website) as more details develop.
