    Default Sega Nomad?

Does any body collect this system?

I saw one last weekend at the used game store I prowl. It was loaded with one of the Mortal Kombat games, I was impressed by the screen quality.

Is it fun to collect and play? How does it compare to the Game Boy Color?

Well, collecting this is the same as collecting the Sega Genesis. And there are tons of games to love for the system! I personally love many of the first releases, such as Last Battle, Mystic Defender, Herzog Zwei, and Thunder Force II.

Zektor, Are you saying that the Nomad uses the same carts as the Genny.

Thats right! All it is is a portable Sega Genesis. Nice system, if you can pick it up for a good price, do it!

Yup! The Nomad is really great! In fact, it can replace a Genesis. It can connect to your TV and double as the system and controller 1 (with your own personal screen). You can connect a second controller to it if you would like and have great two player fun! You can buy a chargeable or standard battery pack for it or go the way of an AC adaptor (recommended since it eats batteries like a madman). And unlike the Game Axe, the carts don't stick half a foot out of the system.

It is the single greatest destroyer of batteries ever made.. Get some NiMH AA's.

I agree with you that the other games are great, but Last Battle?

    Default yes

My advice -If you see one-buy it. I've been looking for one of these things forever. Take a look at ebay -those things are fetching $50-100 easy.

Yea, It is one of the coolest portables out there.. Nothing like playing some Gunstar Heros or Sonic 2 while on a road trip.

I've had mine for a year or so, and even though it sucks up major juice, I like it! I got mine at a friend's house for free.
