Default Games with Engrish or misspelled words.

I just got one last night, Ultraman for the Saturn. It is spelled right on the manual, but the spine has it as Ultlaman. There is also Henry Explorers for the Saturn, correct on the manual but wrong on the spine. I am sure there are plenty more, do you have any?

Fish Eyes (PSX) is spelled Fish Eyeys
Dragon Ball Shin-whatever (Saturn) is spelled Dragon Boll

I can't believe I forgot my favorite Engrish opening of all-time:

    Rock-On for the PC Engine!

I'll put the Engrish storyline to Alien Soldier up sometime soon when I get a chance to write it down. Funniest thing EVER!

In the manual for Irem Arcade Classics (PS1), in the section covering 10 Yard Fight, there's a great big graphic that says:

    1th Down!

    I'd say Zero Wing

Also, I think Sengoku Blaede (aka Sengoku Ace) is spelled incorrectly.

The best engrish ever is in the game Battle Rangers (arcade, I think):

"YOU! INVADERS! GET YOU THE HOT BULLETS OF SHOTGUN TO DIE!!!"

Two Engrish quotes shall forever remain burned in my skull:

"Get me escape!" from Magic Sword

    and

"A winner is you!" from Pro Wrestling

    Okay, no, Bangai-O WINS.

I can't even remember most of the quotes, they're so mangled. Someone back me up on this, as my copy is packed away.

More than one game/manual has done the typical Japanese pronounciation error of having the word REPRAY (instead of REPLAY) lodged within it. WE6FE even has this in the manual...

    Seconded.

I've not got a massive AES collection but the boxes and instructions are chock-full of bad English!

Considering the generally high production values and Treasure's reputation for high-spirited wackiness, I can't help but wonder if Bangai-O's boners weren't left intentionally in the Engrish mode.

    Funny stuff, regardless.

Yeah, too true. Ironic that the most expensive system ever would have across the board the WORST English translations.

My fave Neo game is Twinkle Star Sprites. This game is chock-a-block full of SNKrish. The best is the word "hangry". Actually, this has become part of my vocab, as I tend to get cranky when I need food, so maybe the characters in the game really were hangry.

I love Twinkle Star Sprites. YOu can download the opening FMV sequence from my page if you're interested (from the Saturn version).

I think it's fairly obvious that SNK Japan was responsible for the translation efforts, and sent the final product to the west for distribution. I just can't see an American firm having it any other way.

Ever seen the Engrish in Blazing Star? I wonder if the translators know how insulting it is. They might as well just said, "You suck!" everytime you die.

How about Rastan Saga II for the MD?

"I have opened a fire! Now I am determined to hold my ground at any cost!"

"I would rather run away, but no! Timidness does not conquer!"

"You wicked people! How did you like my assault? Oh, here come tough enemies!"

Can't be as bad as the continue screens for Download for PCE. I think one of them said "I will not this fuck up" when you go to continue. I need to check the specifics, they're hilarious!
