Default Does anyone remember the name of this company?

I am going back in time here in the early 1990s
This was before the internet was really big. I use to use this company to exchange my genesis and snes games for other games.

I believe I originally found them advertized in a magazine like EGM. You could call them and request an updated list.

They mailed it out and the list of Genesis /Super Nintendo games were ranked in sections

    A titles
    B titles
    C titles

You would find your game on the list. Lets say it was an A title. You can then select and exchange your A Title for any other game in the A title.

You would fill out your info form on the sheet and mail your game and a check for the exchange fee (maybe 10.00 an exchange).

About 2 weeks later your game would be in your mail box.

I remember I used them several times and never had a problem.

Does this sound familar to anyone?

I vaguely remember a company called BRE gaming or something similar, as a friend used to get the mailings. From what I remember it was a small pamphlet with a list of used games for sale and what they would pay for those games if you traded them in, but I don't remember a straight game-for-game trade option.

That sounds vaguely familiar from EGM (which I read regularly from 1993 to about 1995).

Checking a '93 EGM, it was GameXpress. BRE did exist then, at still exists at least on ebay.

I think the BRE company you are thinking of is BRE Software. I can't recall anything about different tiered game lists from the ads. I never purchased anything from them or requested a catalog, though.

As I said above, it wasn't BRE that was doing the tiered lists, it was GameXpress.

Ah, missed your post. I must have had the reply loaded in another tab before yours went up.
