Those two women are charlatans that have made it that much harder for a woman to be in the industry. Their McCarthy-esque methods of making every industry professional support them or their career is ruined is disgusting.
Just gonna post this:

Well, reading a bit more about it, it sound a bit suspicious, but I just can't say for sure. This whole thing has become such a cobweb of different opinions on different forums, colliding facts and just general secrecy and misinformation that it's really difficult to create an opinion that I'm confident in. In short, I'm having a hard time picking sides, and I'm not sure I want to (though, like JSoup said, sometimes you're forced to).
This is my disposition towards these types of affairs:
corruption = bad,
discrimination = bad,
disloyalty = bad,
lying = bad,
greed = bad.
Those may seem like very logical associations, but sadly , real world isn't always that black & white and I don't have any solid ways of applying that simple system. It's hard to tell what's going on sometimes.

I think I'm done with this thread. Keep discussing if you wish, I have nothing more to add or discover. Still, I thank everybody, you've helped me find out a lot more about this issue. I've realised this topic just isn't for me, and any opinion I end up having on it will probably not have very strong foundations, therefore it'll only be detrimental .
Goodbye, and thanks again!
LIVE LONG AND MAY THE TRIFORCE BE WITH YOU!
I've been looking into this whole thing since I first heard about it here. It seems it initially wasn't a big deal for the first few days, no more than any interest in any new news. It only started blowing out of proportion when Phil Fish started getting involved by opening his big mouth. Then they apparently hacked their own sites claiming other people did it, with Phil using the opportunity to announce his quitting from developing any more games(since the last time he announced the same thing). All this just got more people interested in piling on, focusing on everything these people did to anyone and everything else over the years.
Apparently one of the people accused of fixing a review eventually claimed that he only knew her professionally up until the point that the review got published. He then said that they only became involved together after the review was published. If this was all made up, I'm surprised that they actually were involved together at all. Again, this is all I heard from various forums linking to other forums and sources. So many sites with this discussion are getting taken down so it's hard to find the original sources as they're gone by the time someone links to them to support what they're saying.
ReviewtechUSA talked about this story in one of his recent reviews, and while i love his channel I found this topic beyond boring and I failed to see why people get so worked up about females playing video games?
Abuse and harassment of struggling writers and developers on a massive scale under the thin guise of exposing corruption is not some great and noble thing. Game journalism hasn't been compromised because it hasn't been invented yet. Before a thing can become corrupted, it must first exist. Anyone paying attention knows that gaming press is a promotional industry; that's how it began, that's how it remains. The sad thing to me is that some of the people who have been making efforts to bring it closer toward the realm of real journalism by exploring deeper topics are being thrown into the fire right now. Jenn Frank, for example, was just pressured into leaving because the Guardian failed to print full disclosure that was given to them by her.
I've been following this since it began. It's not about exposing anything, it's about seeing an opportunity to punish people for saying shit you don't want to hear, and offering the same fate to anyone who defends them. Any valid issues that may have been there in the beginning are now irrepairably twisted and eroded into dust by the endless drooling din of the internet hatemob. Broke writers supporting broke developers on Patreon is not the plague of this industry. The private drama of a developer's personal life is not the plague of this industry. Anita daring to continue producing Tropes vs Women videos in gross violation of what some dudes somewhere want her to do is not the plague of this industry.
Resistance to change is the plague of this industry.
soooooo is it about cronyism in the industry or men complaining about women in the industry?
U GAIZ JUST DONT LIKE CHANGE , (builds a artificial foundation here)
Political cartoon time:
And more stuff:
Huh ?
I don't get any of this. Just seems dumb overall.
Can't we just play Sonic the Hedgehog and all get along ?
That leads to the other problem, no one can not be a part of this without being labeled this and that. Depending on what rings you run in, that may or may not be an issue. NeoGaf just got finished with it's first bout of "Just want to play your games? Of course you do, you privileged white male! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!"
To bring it around to retro gaming: many of these people bemoan the popularity of retro games because they see them as full of stuff that they hate and if they continue to be popular, it will prevent/dilute the changes they want. Of course this doesn't stop their love of pixel art, but they focus very much on the latter word in that phrase, more of a modern interpretation of what "retro" graphics looked like.

I guess that would explain this:

⃟Mario says "... if you do drugs, you go to hell before you die."
It really explains this as this is what I was joking about her liking Rez for yesterday in that post. I guess I should have been more clear.
