I'm looking for other games like Steel Battalion or other controllers like it. There might not be anything but if you know of any I'd like to hear about it.

I don't know about anything else using a similar controller, but Mechwarrior games and Armored Core are like it.
I haven't played them but I know there are some tank simulators out there that are accurate to actually driving a tank. Only reason I know this is that I've heard a story from my dad that at a military base, a guy who's never been trained to drive a tank asked if he could drive in one, and the operator said if he can get it running then sure. This guy apparently played these tank simulators and everything in the tank was the same as it was in the game so he was able to get it running. Not sure if he drove it as that's where the story ended, but yeah.
Though not near as many buttons, but how about the vintage PS1 Flightstick which has TWO flight controls? It came out before the Dual Shock and even before the Dual Analog. Roughly only 30 PS1 games and 2 PS2 (Flightstick mode) work with it. However with the right adapter EVERY Gamecube and Wii Classic Controller game can be played utilizing the PS1 Flightstick! Wii Skycrawlers Flight Sim and the PS1 Flight Stick are a perfect combo!

Flight sim enthusiasts have rigged up hugely elaborate setups for their PCs. The details escape me, but there are flight yokes and pedals and everything.

Virtual on for dreamcast had a huge dual stick arcade controller, I think the saturn version also had one

That Sony dual flightstick is named the "Sony Analog Joystick".
It works quite well with Namco/Atari's "Assault" from Namco Museum Vol.4.
Hori released a similar dual analog joystick made especially for Taito's "Power Shovel" game.
It isn't what you asked for, but I highly recommend Power Shovel.
