Default Idiots Guide To Downloading and Burning Dreamcast games

Hello, I am somewhat computer literate but not really. I watched a couple of Youtube videos on how to download and burn Dreamcast games. So I downloaded Disc Juggler and downloaded some files from Emuparadise. When I started Disc Juggler at first and try to find the file, I could not. Then I did find the file, but it looks like a folder. It is supposed to be a .cdi file, correct? My file appears as a RAR file. I need some help in this process, any ideas guys???

    Thanks in Advance!

If the file is a .cdi, you should just be able to click the image file and burn it.

I'm not sure about disc juggler (I remember using it wayyy back when the DC scene was popping) but from what I understand you can use any type of burner. I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that disc juggler is pretty antiquated. I use ImgBurn and I would suggest you use that, and it works like a charm and is very simple. It involves simply clicking on the image file, and clicking burn.

Also keep in mind if the game is not self boot, it won't work on your dreamcast unless use first use a boot disc... But I wouldn't worry about that just yet, most games are self boot.

Alcohol 120% works great for burning Dreamcast games! I've used it for many discs without fail. Google it to get the exact settings needed. Also, you said that you have RAR files? You have to extract those with 7-zip or WinRAR to get the information stored inside. If I'm mistaken about what you were saying, then just forget that last sentence.

I downloaded WinRar , I went to extract the files, thought I did it right, but the program I'm using to burn doesn't appear to recognize the file

Anyone got a link to that hilarious tutorial with explosions and such? This thread reminded me of it, but I can't seem to find it.
