    Default Gp32 or GBA

Does anyone own both? If so, which do you like more (or which do you use more often)?

Both seem to have some very different obvious advantages, such as the GBA has more current titles and the GP32 has some amazing emus that run at full speed.

Do any of the new GP32 games compare in graphics/gameplay to the newer GBA releases? Also, what are the best emus out there for the GP32?

I'm about to download a GP32 emu to check it out on my PC, but I'm curious to hear what others have to say...

    Thanks,

    Todd

Y'know, I've been kinda thinking about getting a GP32 myself. All those emu's would kick ass. I'd like to hear what others think as well!
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

I'm thinking of getting a GP32 (backlit version) myself. The games look to be pretty decent and the prospect of running libraries of great*ahem* "past games for various systems" is a major plus. From what I've seen of the graphics, they look very nice at least in the same ballpark as the GBA. Soon as I get some extra dough to blow, i'm gonna give it a serious thought about purchasing.

My Gp32 gets more play-time than any of my GBAs (or the Gameboy Player for the Cube). The PC Engine emulator is nigh-on perfect, and there are very good emulators for the C64, Spectrum, Master System, NES and Atari ST (I've probably forgotten a few). The port of Doom on there is amazing and the SCUMM games (Monkey Island etc) work well too.

Plus, you can watch movies (I've encoded a few music videos for mine), read text documents (e-books anyone?), listen to Mp3s, view Jpegs etc

The coding scene for the console is quite small (probably due to the small number of people that actually own one and have the coding skills required) but with a bit of patience, I'm sure we'll see more and more good stuff appear.

    Did that sound enthusiastic enough?
