Earlier Ace Attorney games may be cheap now, but bear in mind they took the better part of a decade (and 3 re-releases of the original trilogy) to get that way (and not before each entry in the original trilogy carried a $50+ aftermarket price tag at least once).
I treasure my physical copies of Ace Attorney games, and have given them (plus 6 of the 7 figures from the 2006 trading figure set - the 7th figure stays off display) a place of honor in my living room.
@Jorpho - it's true we haven't seen many ads for games at all these days, but back in the '00s, Ace Attorney got practically no advertising. I have occasionally seen (on eBay) a poster advertising Capcom Classics Collection. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney was on the back of this poster. To my knowledge, this poster was the only North American print advertising for Phoenix Wright. The Ace Attorney series' failure in the West was a self-fulfilling prophecy, IMO. Localize and release obscure game. Don't promote it. Use poor sales as excuse to phone in later games as soon as digital infrastructure allows. Skip entries because reasons. Repeat.
