Default Woohoo.. looks like I might have a good Japanese contact ...

I sold a load of stuff on ebay recently. One of my UK only Megadrive games got bought by a guy in Japan ... now, I have a Jp copy of Steel Empire that I have been trying to trade off, since I have the PAL version, and to my mind there is no difference between the two, except that I can get the PAL version for £2.00, whereas the Jp version is £110 at www.videogameimports.com When I emailed them to see if they would give me a trade in they said that although it was extremely rare and expensive in Japan, it was not much sought after in the West, so they only generally stocked one copy at a time. So ... I happened to mention to this Japanese guy that I had a copy of Steel Empire for sale / trade if he knew anyone who was interested. Got a reply straight away, he is very interested and has offered me some rather tasty Saturn items in exchange

    Looking good!

His name wouldn't happen to be Aya Okuno, would it?

... no, it's Daisuke. I hope this goes off nicely, and then perhaps I can get a little two way trading going. That would be good indeed!!

I was trading with a guy named Aya Okuno several years ago. He was most interested in collecting Sega Genesis games that were never released in Japan, or were released in limited quantities. I wish I could find the guy, because I got some GREAT Saturn games from him.

Hmm, I'll have to try Steel Empire out sometime and see if I'm interested in it. Can't say I'd give you 110 Pounds Sterling or the equivalent, but something close.

I'm glad my contact is mostly interested in Konami's NES games... they aren't that hard to find, and he sends me lots of good stuff in return.

    Default Kind offers!

Ed - my ears are open I haven't heard back conclusively from this guy yet - but since I am unemployed and scraping the barrel for rent at the moment, I would probably be inclined to give preference to money offer than a trade. That goes for anyone else who is interested as well ...
