The first one is slow, and the fighting is so-so. It's a good game, and can be picked on the cheap.
The 2nd Runner, on the other hand, is excellent. It's got that "Metal Gear" flair to it (since it's from Hideo Kojima as well), and the fighting has been upgraded to include different weapons and abilities. It's not too difficult, but it's not too long, either. I see that the price has come down on it as well, a highly recommended title if you haven't played it yet.

I loved both of them. It's a fun series with fast paced fighting. A lot of people don't like the first one cause the storyline is kinda prachy and there are a lot of repeated enemies, but I REALLY enjoyed both games. They're both cheap to pick up and well worth the money IMO.

I thought they were both solid, and above all else, fun games to play. Not exactly Earth shattering, but highly memorable none the less.
