This might not quite count, but my laptop CD-i has ports for PAL and NTSC, and I guess it should be able to display PAL and NTSC stuff on that LCD screen as a result. No SECAM as far as I know, though :(
Ah, was just wondering. I just took a run at this but my esnipe bid was set to about $155:

Oooh. Nice, too bad you didn't get it. On the other hand, that monitor looks a bit old -- wonder how the picture on it is.
That's pretty much why I wasn't going any higher. It's only 17 miles from where I'm sitting, too, so no shipping... I'll just have to wait until another pops up locally.

What? All you have to do is drive the 17 miles with crowbar in hand, bash in the seller's face (if it's a man that is) then run back those 17 miles with monitor in hand. Err, while driving, of course, back home that is.
:P
Uhm, yeah. Take a look at the seller's name. I'm betting it's a convent thrift shop.

Most video capture cards for PCs can be switched between formats. I know NTSC and PAL are common supported formats, not sure if Secam is very supported. Hmm... My TView 99 says it supports NTSC & PAL, but no mention of Secam.
I bet the ATI TV Wonder supports at least NTSC and PAL, you can pick up one at Wal-Mart.
I have two broadcast raster monitors that are multi-format, as well as an LCD monitor that I just got recently that, as it turns out, has the same option.
If you ever get a chance to watch a PAL video or DVD on a PAL monitor or a monitor capable of displaying PAL well, take a look. The picture blows NTSC away. Lucky Brits.
It's the RGB that I was far more interested in than pal/secam. I just thought that it is cool to be able to have import systems on the same tv.

Most projectors accept all formats.
PAL, NTSC, 50/60hz, etc.
Don't know about all HDTVs but this one supports it:

So what I've read is true...the NTSC standard was just the result of U.S. companies pushing their less worthy hardware at the time of the standard's formation anyhow :/Originally Posted by Phosphor Dot Fossils
I think Willie has one just like that, I'll have to check. But it sure looks the same.
I think a lot of the new HDTV's/Plasmas have RGB inputs.Originally Posted by chadtower
