Default Question : Corpse Killer Sega CD 32X

Did they actually make more copies of this game than there were 32X systems? Or else how is it that there is always a ton of people trying to sell boxes of 20 sealed copies of this game? I mean there are even people trying to offload them on Ebay UK ... some guy is trying to sell 19 sealed copies ... a bit pointless since you need either a US system or some kind of Pro CDX cart to play it!!!

It seems positively ET-esque in the proportions of unsold copies there are of this floating around. Anyone know the story here? I mean, it is a truly terrible game, so it's not like they could really have expected to sell that many copies. Is it?

I'm still trying to figure out the logic at selling copies at $.50 a piece...is it really worth it at that point? Man, just trash the damn things! And no, I don't know why there are so many copies.

I've been tempted to bid on a lot of those, just for good condition boxes...

I still don't have that game... someone should buy a bunch and give them out at CGE2K4 at the door. Advertise it as "Free Sega game with admission!"

Plus you need the Genisis, 32X, and Sega CD take them all and merge them into one horrific Unit (ala Voltron)

As if the 32X advertising campaign didn't have enough innuendo behind it.

It was a bit of a beast, that combination. Personally I always preferred the 32X / Multimega combo. Doesn't take up half the space, and looks suspiciously like the Starship Enterprise

If you ever played this game, you'd know why there are so many sealed copies

    This is the 32x's E.T.

    ...or is the 32x Sega's E.T.???

Man, you guys hate the 32X waaaayyyy too much! I'd ask you all to let it go, but I know it wouldn't do any good. Would you have rather they hadn't made it at all? Then there would be, gasp, one less console (yeah, I said it) in the world. Even though it wasn't supported, I'm only slightly irked with it for one reason... Every few weeks or so, I get the intro song from Tempo stuck in my head. The game itself is worth getting the system if anything for the very real possibility of finding youself in the middle of an epileptic seizure, being photosensitive or not.

Tempo says: "Don't be a playa hater".

Speaking of 32x CD games... Night Trap is awesome.

I wouldn't recommend "playing" more than 10 minutes, but it's worth it alone for the horrendous acting, awful 80's style music (no licensed music, so it's even worse) and the girl with the perm playing the tennis racket like it was a guitar while the gaggle of girls including Dana Plato laugh in a totally fake and embarrassed manner.

I love it, and the 32x game looks markedly better than the Sega CD version.

Unplayable game, but certainly a milestone!

Corpse Killer is pretty awful through and through.

    Default Chill!!

Whoah .. who said they hated the 32X? I think you are getting a little over-protective!! I have nothing against the 32X... otherwise I wouldn't have one! But there is no contesting the fact that Corpse Killer for the 32X was an abominable piece of trash that should never have seen the light of day. If you can dispute that in all sincerity then you need some serious counselling.

Curiously, I thought it was the most playable game Digital Pictures put out. it actually had interactivity, even if it may have been at Revolution X levels, except I'd rather play Corpse Killer than Revolution X.

Anyone ever get the feeling the they got the name wrong on the House of the Dead movie? It looks like it should be titled Corpse Killer instead.

Lol thats a good point the trailer I saw looks nothing like the game. It does have more of a CC feel to it

Preeeeety sure they are the cheap cardboard boxes not hard plastic clamshells you could use for other games... might be wrong though.

We had several hundred copies at the game store i worked at most new..alot of mint ones and a few dozen loose rentals I have no idea what the deal is but they had all come from the same source.
