    Default castlevania is freezing...arg. help.

i'm playing the first castlevania nes i'm trying to beat the 5th boss (grim reaper) i swear i could, if the game didn't freeze everytime.

i tried cleaning the cartridge, it's clean, and i have new 72 pin connector....

my connectors are kinda worn on the game itself, but i don't know if this would matter or not...do you think it is my nes or my cart?

i hope it's just my cart, so i can get a new one....i don't want to resort to emulation.

i don't think it is an overheating thing because i can get to him with only dying once or twice (or even none once).

I think this would be better suited for the restoration forum, but anyway, here's my take:

If it is freezing at the exact same spot every time then it is almost certainly the cartridge.
