    Default Wanted: Vectrex overlays

I am looking to buy a bunch of vectex overlays

I don't want to hunt them down one at a time so I am hoping
that someone would like to sell a big set

I want them to play so they can be reproductions

    let me know

I'm just starting to look into making some reproductions. If I am successful I could be offering them to the board.

i was told that a lot of people have tried this, but i don't really get it, you can inkjet print on clear plastic overhead projector sheets? unless it's too solid of a color or something
My life and perception has changed, but my principals are the same.

Yep. I was thinking of doing something like this eventually but the trick is to print a reverse image on the plastic and then spray paint white (or another solid color) on that same side. Flip it over and you have an overlay.

That's not going to work on a Vectrex overlay, dude. Vectrex overlays go on the screen, not the controller.

They're very tricky because parts need to let the screen light through, but others actually blovk it off to give it a border. I have some repro's that I bought a long time ago, and you had to use an exacto knift to cut parts out, and then stick them to the backside of the overlay. I have a dozen or so like that I no longer need if you'd be interested in them.

Take a chill pill, I wasn't planning on cutting into your market, Chad.

Misinterpretation of my intention! Heh, I'm not worried, as if I ever do produce them I won't be trying to do it for profit. I'd be producing them for myself and then if it's not difficult, producing them for others at or close to cost.

Has anyone been able to make Vectrex overlays? I'd be interested in buying them if the price was reasonable...

Damn, nobody has come up with a better solution in the last 23 years?

I like to pop into vectrex topics...No overlay info
Just that Sean is doing multi carts again, hard to find his auctions as they are dutch auctions and have been ending quite fast
    Watch his Ebay seller ID
    skelly-etc
Or search his seller ID for past auctions to see the early Dec. auction

I still can't believe that it's going to be 2005 in a few days and nobody has created replacement Vectrex Overlays. It's only been 23 years....
