Where you installed it and then had to fight a virus running rampant through your computer? I'm not talking about Tron.
In this game the virus actually showed itself attacking your files on your hard drive.
I believe it was PC based.
Anybody?

You ain't talking about Rez, just gotta throw that choice out though :D
i remember something i believe was simply was called VIRUS,
3d shooter inside your own computer.
flying through tunnels that represented your files and folders.
I think there was a followup made too.
Better a full bottle in front of me,
than a full frontal lobotomy...
i think it was called Virus: The Game or Virus 2000, not sure, it was made by some company from israel i think, and it was meant to be a descent competitor if i remember right, had no chance though
i've got an production report in some old pc mag, but those mags are still @my parents

Cool idea, bad execution. The process in which it made the levels look like your computer fell short of expectations, it didn't scan enough BMPs, image files, etc, so you mostly got alot of walls that looked like plain text files.
Yes but Angelfire allows you to steal BMPs, GIFs, & JPEGs, by simply renaming as text files, this no work on the game?Originally Posted by Bratwurst
That kind of reminds me of Operation Inner Space. You would pilot an upgradeable "space ship" inside your computer. The object was to fly around in different directories and collect your icons. Virused icons had to be destroyed. Different gangs, including the police, would fly around as well, and you could befriend them or be mortal enemies. It's extremely addicting. I wish I could find the full version of that game. It would probably work on my Win 2K computer.
this, ladies and gentleman, is in fact one of the BEST and MOST addicting games ever made, if you find a full version of it pls tell me, i haven't played it for YEARSOriginally Posted by davidbrit2

Oddly enough, someone asked about this very game at ClassicGaming last week and came to the conclusion that it was Inner Space. Apparently it is still supported.

Okay, I found the official site where you can still order the game.
Software Dynamics
It's about $35 for the game and a bunch of cool stuff. That's well worth it. I'll get around to ordering it one of these days.
I used to love that game. I still quote it in casual conversation and no one knows what I'm talking about.
