I have spent well over $3 on some DDR machines, some of which are bootleg and non-working. I have also spent maybe $2-$3 on some of the bigger racing games, although I can't remember any of the titles right now.

RIP Bargora.
The most I have ever spent at an arcade game would have to be around $2-$5 on Time Crisis.
Oh man...
I remember when I was a kid (about 10), my familly was staying in some hotel in Florida, and there was a Simpons game (I can't remember the name of it... if anybody knows.. tell me - Its where you have to fight your way through the streets to save Maggie - Marge has a vaccum cleaner). Me and my brother played that game for soooo long, and we kept asking our dad for quarters. We must have chucked at least $20 bucks in there. We did actually end up beating it too.
I don't think the other one that I've put alot of quarters in counts. I've put about $50 worth of quarters in a Super Mario Bros. arcade. Thing is, I own it. :P
SFII.. We used to bring rolls of quarters.

I've spent at least $10 on Arkanoid on numerous occasions. I love that game, though i'm not that great at it.
i take it we are talking in one visit.. cos if this is totals, you people are lame as anything.. in one go i've spent AU$45 on one skill tester.. but i won about $300 worth of prizes..
in total, i have spent countless hundreds of dollars on ddr.. i hate to think about how many games i've played.. i played 102 credits on f-zero ax in total, most of them were free.. but regardless, that wasnt even a fraction of the amount i played ddr..
remember though, arcades here in australia have no games cheaper than $1.. some games are $3 for one credit.. it's fucked
Can´t remember the game, but i spent about 10 bucks easily...
Matías
Lessee...
at once, pumping in quarters...probably Daytona, about a dozen races, so 12 bucks
over the course of a weekend...Kung Fu Master, about 50 bucks. But by the time I was done I could beat the last boss.
lifetime...Defender. Probably over a hundred dollars. And I'm still not that good.
I usually end up playing Bust-A-Move. It's my favorite coin-op plus I own a good chunk of the series on different consules.

I once spent a good $10 on Hydro Thunder, just because it was the only good game at the arcade and I had an hour to blow.
I've put alot of cash into Lucky & Wild over the years as well. If I ever see a machine, I feel compelled to play it.
frekin golden tee golf costs 6$ for 18 holes in some places
when alot of games cost 1$ its easy to plunk in 6$ in no time - that value is too low
The human operates out of complex superiority demands, self -affirming through ritual, insiting upon a rational need to learn, striving for self-imposed goals, manipulating his environment while he denies his own adaptive abilities, never fully satisfied.

Over $10 on Metal Slug 4, and about $5 on Daytona USA 2001.
It sucks I only been into one arcade place in my whole life (I played some arcade machines in Pizza places, but that's it). So to make the best of it, I spend a crapload of money on arcade games. It sucks because there was no shoot 'em ups in the place!
1st place: $17 in one night on Shinobi. And the worst of it was that I never got past the level 3 boss.
2nd place: $8 on Starblade Alpha. This was the very rare (and very heavy) sitdown cab, which was a real treat to play. I was not leaving the arcade until I beat that damn thing. One of my best arcade experiences ever.
20 bucks on the Star Wars Trilogy game.
I spent tons of money on Primal Rage. My friend and I spent so much time after school at the mall playing that one during high school.
