There aren't many games, but then there arne't many games which are less than "Must Buy"...

SNK v. Capcom Card Fighter's Clash (either version)
Capcom v. SNK: Match of the Millenium
    Metal Slug 1st/2nd Mission
    The Last Blade
    Puyo Pop
    Bust-A-Move Pocket
    Pacman (c'mon... it's pacman!)
Panoramic Cotton (if you can find it)
    Sonic Pocket
    Gals Fighters
    Falselei

...just to name a few must haves

EDIT: "There isn't many games" is poor grammar there, Jonathan

I second Gal's Fighters and Cardfighters Clash.

The Rockman fighting game is pretty decent too, and puzzle link is pretty addicting as well.

Neo Turf Masters is the golf game. Cardfighters is a MUST, an absolute 100% MUST HAVE. Other than that, Match 'o the Millenium, and Metal Slug 2.

The Cotton game isn't called Panoramic Cotton... you may be thinking of Panorama Cotton, which is for the Mega Drive and is very hard to find. FANTASTIC NIGHT DREAMS COTTON is the NGPC release, and is very similar in style to the TurboDuo/Super Famicon/Saturn 2-D games. The UK game is hard to find, the Japanese a bit easier. It's not that great, but it is the only "real" shooter for the system.

Incidently, I have a complete/sealed copy of THE LAST BLADE (UK version with plastic hardcase, instructions, game, etc) for trade. PM me with you available trades.

    The Metal Slug games rock!

I'm definitely going to check out the golf game (they have a special place in my heart). And the metal slug goes without saying (I should have said top 3 excluding metal slug).

Now I've heard the cardfighters mentioned so many frickn times but I know nothing about it. I will make sure I find myself a copy of that.

Card Fighters Clash is a must have. If it's the first game that you pick up, the only problem will be devoting time to games you buy later on lol

Neo Turf Masters is a very good golf game. Nice selection of game modes, very good stat tracking, and great playability. I dont even like golf, but I dig this game. High replayability due to the golf club collecting aspect, but I think thats mainly a Vs mode thing.

Places to get NGPC games outside of eBay? Try the http://neostore.com. They have Dynamite Slugger there for $12 and from what I hear, its one of the best sports games (much better than that turd Baseball Stars). I havent been to http://videogamedepot.com's site in a while, but the last time I wa sthere they had a good selection. I've ordered from both, both are very reliable, fast shipping too.

thanks for the links, gotta get a x-mas list to the P's. They dont do the ebay thing. Plus my dad's going to have a bit of a hospital stay so I think he would really appreciate a golf game to play.

First off...my top 3 must get games (I only have 11 so bear with me):

    1. Puzzle Link
    2. Cardfighter's Clash (wish I could find it...I had a place that had one for 2 years...as soon as I got my NGPC...gone. I have played it, and it's worth it)
    3. Neo Turf Masters (see above...awesome game I've played...can't find it).

Now, the company that is reselling them at EB has a webpage were most of these games are available...although it appears they are all just loose carts...I haven't bought from their online store...YMMV.

I don't know what the deal is, but there's a frigg'n EXCELLENT puzzle game that I play on the NGPC emulator that I haven't been able to find in cart format called Picture Puzzle. It's one of my favorite puzzle games ever. Other than that I second the list the rest of the guys have posted, but Faselei is a pretty cool little game, unique of nothing else.

    sites to order:

    www.ncsx.com
    www.eplayplay.com
www.ebgames.com (4 pack of loose carts)

You guys are priceless, I picked up a copy of Neo Turf for my dad's hospital stay and Metal Slug 1 for myself. Card fighters will be next on the list.

Dammit, why did I find this thread so late? All the good recommends are up already!

Anyway, I'll whatever-number-we're-up-to-now Cardfighters Clash, Match of the Millenium, Gal's Fighters (probably the fastest of all the fighters on the system), Metal Slug 1&2, Bust-a-Move Pocket, Sonic Pocket Adventure, Puzzle Link, Puyo Pop, and I guess I'm the first to put up Biomotor Unitron. Though really, if you want a list of ALL of the best games, just check the DP rarity list; most ALL of the games on the NGPC rock!

ya, of course the list was the first thing I went to (and I wouldnt have posted if I saw a top XX thread). I'd love to pick up a dozen games now for it but my game spending has been through the roof the last 2 months, so I really gotta hold myself to just getting 3 right now.

Just three? ARE YOU INSANE, MAN!??!?!!?

I'm just kiddin'. If only three to start with, I'd say Cardfighters Clash, Match of the Millenium, and probably either Bust-a-Move Pocket or Puyo Pop. That way, you've got diversity with an RPG, a fighter, and a puzzle game. Though honestly, any game rocks.

Oh, sorry I read in an earlier post you didn't know much about Cardfighters Clash. Let me sum it up for you.

Cardfighters Clash is basically a kind of Pokemon TCG-style RPG, in which you play a CCG against all kinds of CPU opponents. The biggest draw is collecting all of the cards, but the reason it's such a great game is that it gets progressively more difficult, causing you to rethink your strategies time and time again. And with 300 cards to collect, trade and battle with, for some reason it never gets boring. :-)

hmmm. I dont know if I want to give up my 12 sided dice and magic cards. lol, just kidding. But seriously I cant bring my self to dragging those cards out in public, I'm just going to huddle in the closet when I want to play it. haha. On a similar note, I'm really looking forward to the next monster rancher.
