At the last CGE I bought Dino Park Tycoon (3DO) for around $200.
I am by no means a 3do collector, but I bought this one for two reasons: (a) I had just gotten a lot of spending money out of the CGE auctions, and (b) Joe swore to me up and down that it's a valuable game. I can't wait until it's 2010 and I can sell it back to Joe for $1000 or something.
$130 CND for a complete Final Fantasy II. I know it was overpriced, but I really wanted the game!
I guess my most expensive game was Metal Slug 3 JAP homecart short after release for about 500 EUR.
Nowadays I´ll never spend such a large amount of money again for one single game - word!
Hurry up!
Greetings
My most expensive game was bought retail back in 1988
The release price of $79.99 was just way too much so I had to wait till it went on sale. Finally I found a store that was having a sale with all games like 20% off and since the price had came down a little It was $57.99 plus 6% tax. That was after driving 20 miles from my house too!
Know what game I am talking about? Maybe a hint, Master System
Yes, till this day I have never paid more that I did for Phantasy Star 1. Most games I buy used. Exception was Tron 2.0 xbox but that was only 40. and the last time I paid 50 for a game in a store was REZ for PS2.
The most I have spent on eBay for a game was $38 total for a new saturn Power Drift .

I remember buying Mortal Kombat 3 for the SNES shortly after it came out for $80
I just topped of mine the other day, I spent 120.00 on a sealed gold Legend Of Zelda for NES.
I don't plan to beat that for a while.
$54.99 for Halo 2: LCE. Thats right, I'm not crazy
Currently playing in my dreams: The Brutal Balad of Fangus Klot (Xbox) Citizen Siege (Xbox 360) Hand of Odd (Xbox 360)

Why did you have to pay so much? I got mine the same day as you and was only $50.Originally Posted by Dobie
HELL of a deal!! Where did you get it from? Ebay? Doubt you got it from there, would have gone for 3 times that. Anywho, great find!Originally Posted by Cmosfm
Is it in good condtiion?
Got it from a fellow that posts here and on CAG, it's actually near mint, just some very tiny natural blemishes. Finding one any better condition would be hard as hell.Originally Posted by NintendoMan
We were both happy with the deal, so it was all good.
I bought "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" when it first came out.
I think it was $70.
That's it.

Hmph.

This is the one boxed NES game I have. It's not sealed and it is a bit beat up. Wait I am confusing Zelda 1 and 2 I think. I do know it's the original box and not the re release box.
Is there a zelda list/price list somewhere?
Thanks

I payed $76 for Clayfighter 63 1/3.

I paid $64.99 for a Complete Chrono Trigger (SNES) at Gamestop in 2001. The most I spent recently was $56 on a complete Suikoden II.
Final fantasy xi with hdd about $75.00
I once spent 275 bucks on a new Samurai Showdown 2 cart for the NEO GEO. The messed up part was that it was on SALE. I never bothered to ask for the original price since I was afraid I might pee in my pants.
